Boris Johnson hit out at Remainer MPs and the European Union’s “terrible collaboration” on Wednesday afternoon as he was grilled by viewers during a live online Q&A session called the “People’s PMQs”. The comments from the Prime Minister sparked fury, but Brexit Party MEP Lance Forman accepted the pro-EU MPs were “in effect” collaborating with the EU. Speaking on LBC, Mr Forman said: “In effect, they are collaborating with the EU, they are weakening our hand in the negotiations.

“Nobody really wants no deal, but if you want to get a deal, you have to let the other side know you are prepared to walk away.

“The time since we initiated Article 50, we should have been making full preparations for no deal, and it’s tragic that Philip Hammond never did that.

“He has been scuppering our chances in the negotiations from day one.”

He added: “People are using very colourful language, people are getting very frustrated, people are getting very angry.
